Bon Appetit- Smoked Salmon Burger

I can’t take all of the credit for this recipe. I got this one from my husband and it is soooo good. You will need the following

Ingredients:
  • 3 Tbsp of brown sugar (Keep handy, you may need pinch more)
  • 1 cup of Soy Sauce
  • 2  6 oz. Salmon Filet
  • Garlic Salt
  • Salt (to taste if any)
  • Pepper (Pinch)
  • Cabbage
  • Thousand Island Dressing
  • Pretzel Bun
  • Butter
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 3 sprigs of Cilantro
  • 3 cups of Wood Chips
  • Charcoal
SalmonGrill
Prep: (15 minutes)
  1. Soak wood chips of your choice in water over night.
  2. The next day add all of the above ingredients together to create the marinade
  3. Pour the marinade in a bowl or platter.
  4. Add salmon to the bowl/platter and marinate for 1 hour.
  5. Slice cabbage and pretzel buns

Grill: (Cook time 1 hour and 15 minutes)

  1. Start your grill and reach 300 degrees
  2. Pour wood chips on the coals until the temperature drops to 175 Degrees. Sprinkling water will help bring the fire down.
  3. Add salmon to the grill.
  4. Pour left over marinade on salmon
  5. Turn over salmon after 20 minutes
  6. Grill salmon for 30-45 minutes
  7. After 30 minutes add butter to pretzel buns and add to grill to toast for 10 minutes
  8. Remove salmon and place directly toasted bun
  9. Add sliced cabbage and thousand island dressing to salmon
  10. Enjoy
