Are You Ready for the Summer? 4 Tips to get Beach Ready

 

After being in the gym non stop I am officially ready for the summer! Here are some quick tips that helped me slim down.

1. Drink Plenty of Water- 

Everyone always says it and its true! I am not a H20 fan but now I drink at least 70 oz of water a day. It cleanses your body and helps you from retaining water. Also it may also curb your appetite. Many times I thought I was just hungry when in fact I was really thirsty. Causing me to over eat.

2. Workout Consistently-

For 6 weeks I worked out 5-6 times a week alternating cardio (45 minutes 3-5 times per week), circuit training (weight lifting 2 times a week), yoga/pilates (1-2 times per week). All of these various workouts helped my body burn calories, tone, and kept me and my body from getting bored.

3. Change Eating Habits-

Although it hurts my soul I cut out all fried/junk

 foods, red meat, pasta, bread, juice. Replacing them with lean meats, seafood, and increased fresh vegetables. Although I allowed myself one cheat day a week after about two weeks I noticed a difference and no longer craved fried foods.

4. Channel Your Inspiration-

To keep me focused throughout this time I realized that I needed some inspiration to hone in on. I found it at the online magazine Frugivore. They highlight training, nutrition, and food tips among other great articles. For visual inspiration and quick workout exercises I found Get Fit With Nic a personal trainer who showcases her results along with exercise routines that can help you get there!

I still keep up this routine but not at such an aggressive pace. Hope these tips will help you get to where you want to be. Keep me posted on your results. I would love to hear from you!
