Being natural definitely has its challenges one of them being finding products that work with your hair. I recently decided to try Shea Moisture’s Organic Coconut and Hibiscus line. Their products are available at Target, Walmart and Walgreen’s. Overallmy hair texture is 3C with a mix of 4A. I based the below reviews on hold, shine, moisture, curl definition and overall effectiveness.
Curl & Shine Shampoo:
Loved it! The scent is great and the shampoo left my hair very soft and moisturized. Unlike some shampoos where my hair feels stripped.
Curl & Style Milk:
The product did moisturize and did’nt leave my hair feeling heavy. However, the only curl definition I noticed was along the edges of my hair line and hardly detangled my tresses. I would maybe use this product in the winter as a conditioning aide but definitely not for a leave in conditioner/wash and go it just made my hair fuzzy.
Hold & Shine Moisture Mist:
Did add a bit of shine to my hair but provided little to no hold or curl definition on my hair. The mist is very watery so I had to add a bit more but still did not receive
Curl Enhancing Smoothie:
The smoothie did add moisture and decrease frizzyness but it did not define my curls as much as I would have hoped for.
I would use these products again but as a styling aide for a protective style and not for a wash and go. All of the products had a wonderful scent, provided great moisture and left my hair very soft. I would recommend the Curl & Shine Shampoo, Curl & Style Milk and the Curl Enhancing Smoothie.
