British actress Thandie Newton is the new face of Louis Vuitton! She’s known for her roles in For Colored Girls, The Pursuit of Happyness, Mission: Impossible II, and Crash. Featured in their Double Exposure project Newton poses stunningly for the camera. Speaking of the modernization of the double exposure film technique Newton notes ”
The images really take you into the heart of history itself…To parallel that, we’re getting into the history of me through the items I’ve chosen. One of the things about these photographs is the layers of meaning. Each picture is so unique so it just creates this desire to be my most essential self.”
Newton incorporated her passport among other memorable items in her life in the film. Sam Taylor Wood is the creative artist behind the work. Louis Vuitton’s vintage/hotel inspired Autumn/Winter 2011 collection with Marc Jacobs has received great reviews. Checkout footage from the shoot below!
