“Dark Girls” in Chicago

“Dark Girls” documentary was featured at the DuSable Museum last night. Directors of the film Bill Duke and D. Channsin Berry were in attendance, offering their insight during the lecture portion of the evening. Attendees thoroughly enjoyed the documentary. “Dark Girls”  examines the attitudes regarding skin color especially concerning dark skin women within and outside the Black American culture. “Dark Girls” will be released this winter 2011.
